1. You need to apply for a new passport in advance. A passport application can take a long time so it should be done well in advance. You can consult your country’s embassy or consulate for more information.
2. After receiving a new passport, students need to register it at the police station and visit the SDUW Online Application System http://apply.wh.sdu.edu.cn）to apply for a change of visa/residence permit as soon as possible.
After your application is approved by your school and the university, the Office of International Student Affairs (Room 513, Hanguang Building) will issue the Visa/ Stay Permit/ Residence Permit Application Form and University Application Letter. Then you need to go to the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Weihai Municipal Public Security Bureau together with relevant documents to officially submit your application.
