Welcome to SDUW Summer School
The Summer School aims to improve your Chinese language competence, especially listening and speaking skills through engagement with top SDUW faculties, whilst introducing you to extensive and profound traditional Chinese culture via colorful culture experience and tours of historical sites.
Upon successful completion, students will get electronic transcript and will be awarded electronic certificates.

Individual and group applicants are both welcome. Tailor-made courses are offered to group applicants of 15 people.

v Chinese for zero-base to intermediate level students
Learning Chinese-using Chinese in everyday situations, introduction to Chinese language basics and China in general.
v Various Chinese courses
Colorful Chinese courses, Chinese Traditional Culture Experience courses and Chinese Profile courses are offered. Intensive reading, oral Chinese, cultural experience are combined. Cultural Experience courses include Chinese Painting Appreciation, Chinese Culture and Tourism, etc.
v On-line study
This program would adopt online check-in and teaching methods. Both live classes and course videos will be provided.

Small-size class to maintain a high teaching quality
v Course credits
You could obtain up to 4 Chinese credits (1 Credit= 1.5-2.5ETCS) by attending the Summer School.

About Weihai
v A beautiful costal city in eastern Shandong Province. As the Blue Leisure Centre, as well as one of the World's Most Livable Cities, Weihai is also the first city awarded China's State-Level Hygiene City. The city boasts a coastline of 985 kilometers, which accounts for 1/18 of China’s total length of coastline and is endowed with beautiful and enchanting scenery.
v Weihai has many famous tourist attractions, such as one of the best bathing beaches of China— Weihai International Bathing Beach, 5A level national scenic spots—Liugong Island and Huaxia Cheng Scenic Area, the biggest and the most unique coastal wildlife park in China—Xixiakou Wildlife Park. Weihai is also the host city for a range of sports events including Weihai International Sailing Race and the China Triathlon, attracting participants from all over the world. Famous for its fine beaches, balmy weather and crystalline waters, Weihai also receives tourists from all around the global every year.
v Weihai enjoys convenient domestic and international transportation. The city is only 95 nautical miles west of South Korea, and 174 nautical miles from Japan, making it China's closest area to these two countries. Direct flight to Beijing, Jinan as well as Seoul merely takes around 1 hour. Being part of Shandong peninsula's high-speed rail network, Weihai is also connected to Qingdao and Yantai by 1-hour and to Beijing by 4-hour train ride.
